FOUNDATION SKATEBOARDS - LIMITED EDITION COREY DUFFEL X ROWLAND S HOWARD PRO DECK
FOUNDATION SKATEBOARDS - LIMITED EDITION
COREY DUFFEL X ROWLAND S HOWARD PRO DECK
When I first saw this deck I thought, what was Corey Duffel thinking, well that has to be the most obscure tribute deck ever. I mean really, who the hell knows who
Rowland S Howard is?
If you are a Boys Next Door or Birthday Party fan you might. If you are Nick Cave you certainly would, I mean after all Rowland was the guy that made Nick sound great and maybe it was what made people take notice. If you are a musician I'm sure you would, as Rowland is one of the most enigmatic, celebrated and influential guitarists and songwriters Australia has ever produced.
The more I thought about it the more I liked what Corey is doing here, introducing a new bunch of kids to some great music. And it's always great when the seppo's tip their hat to a creative Aussie.
Here's a Foundation Skateboards micro site if you want to check out a bit more of the background of this very interesting collaboration.

And if you would like to find out a little more of what made Rowland S Howard so unique and inspiring check out the 2011 documentary
